Privacy policy
I'm Zeke, and Z.STUDIO is my brand and web design studio. This page says what I keep about you when you send an inquiry or work with me, where it lives, and how to ask me for a copy or to delete it.
What I keep
- Your inquiry. Your name, email and the answers you give on the inquiry form: your company, website, budget, timeline, what you need and how you found me.
- Our project. The files, messages, comments and answers you add to your dashboard, and the work I share with you there.
- Your sign-in. The email address you sign in with and your name. There's no password: I email you a code each time. Your photo, if you add one.
- Approvals and signatures. Your name, the version, the time and the device you used. A signature also keeps the email you were signed in with and your IP address. This is the record of what we agreed.
- When a document reaches you. The first time you open a document I've sent, so I know it arrived.
- Payments. You pay on Stripe's own checkout page or by bank transfer to Novo, my business bank. I see that an invoice was paid, the amount and the date. I never see your card or bank details.
Why I keep it
To reply to your inquiry, run your project, keep a record of what we agreed and what was paid, and email you about things waiting for you (only the emails you switch on).
I don't sell it, I don't use it for ads, and I only share it with the services below, which run the app for me.
Where it's kept
- Supabase holds the database, sign-ins and files, in East US (Ohio).
- Vercel hosts the site and runs the app.
- Vercel Speed Insights measures how fast pages load, with no cookies, nothing that says who you are, and never a page's full address.
- Resend sends the app's emails, including sign-in codes, from US East.
- Sentry records errors in the app, in the US, with no personal details.
- Stripe takes card and bank payments on its own page, when an invoice offers it.
- Novo and Zapier. Bank transfers go to my Novo account, and Zapier tells the app a deposit arrived: its description, amount and date.
- Google Workspace runs my own email, zeke@zekestudio.com.
- Anthropic only when an AI tool is on. More on that below.
Brand pages and decks can load their fonts from Google Fonts.
When I've connected them for my own work: Slack gets a short line in my private channel when something moves ("Maya approved Logo"), and Granola notes our calls, and the app keeps each call's title, time and guests.
Who can see it
Me, and anyone on my studio's team who works on your project.
- Each client company has its own space: one company never sees another's work, people or files.
- Inside your company, people see the projects they're on, and your stakeholders see all of them.
Drafts stay with me until I publish them. The services above store it for me under their own security and privacy terms.
How long I keep it
While we work together, and afterward as my business records. Signed documents, approvals and payments stay as the record of what we agreed.
If you close your login, your sign-in and photo are removed, and your name stays on the approvals and comments you made. Ask me and I'll delete the rest, except what I have to keep for taxes or the law.
A copy, a correction or deleting it
Email me at zeke@zekestudio.com and say what you'd like: a copy of what I have about you, a correction, or deletion. I'll reply within two business days, and send the copy or confirm the deletion within 30 days.
Email meCookies
The app sets cookies to keep you signed in and to bring you back to the page you were going to after you sign in.
- If you fill in a shared form without signing in, a cookie remembers your answers so far on that form.
- A few more remember choices you make on screen, like turning motion off.
No advertising cookies and no tracking.
If I connect my Pinterest account, the app reads my own boards and their pins, secret ones included, only when I ask it to bring a board into a moodboard. It copies those pins into private moodboards that only I and the client I share them with can see.
It never posts, edits or deletes anything on Pinterest, never reads anyone else's account, and doesn't sell or share this data. I can disconnect Pinterest at any time on the Connectors page, and the access is removed straight away; pins already copied into a moodboard stay until I delete them.
AI
In your dashboard, AI is off. If I offer you an AI tool, it's labeled as AI and stays off until it's switched on for your company. When it's on, the words it works on go to Anthropic to answer.
If your agreement says your material can't go to an outside service, tell me and I'll keep AI away from your project.
Changes
If I change this page, the date below changes too. If a change affects work we're doing together, I'll tell you.
